Important to Note: Your study permit is not a visa. Once your study permit application is approved, you will receive a Visitor Visa (Temporary Resident Visa) or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Once your application is approved, you will be sent the Passport Request Letter when you need your passport to submit for the visa stamping through the VFS Global office at Chhaya Centre, Kathmandu. You will be sent a Letter of Introduction(LOI) which is also called a study permit approval letter in your GC key account. LOI is a crucial document that should be presented to a Border Service Officer to get the Study Permit Letter in Canada. If your study has work practicum or Co-OP, you will be required to have a work permit letter in addition to a study permit.
